The Life of Prince Albert

Here is a short biography of the idealistic consort of Queen Victoria. As is well known, both Victoria and Albert were very important people in the lives of their uncle and aunt, King Leopold I and Queen Louise-Marie of the Belgians.

Thank you for this lovely link! Prince Albert really stands out for me as one of the most wonderful men in history: tolerant, yet principled; brilliantly gifted, yet with a heart; traditional, yet forward thinking....Sigh...Just such an amazing man, who completely changed the perception of the monarchy merely by being true to himself - and so handsome, too!

He is a very appealing figure, indeed. Thank you for the kind comment.

Christina,

I agree. Prince Albert was a brilliant man. I just wish we had more men and women like him!

Albert was Leopold's son - it all makes sense. The devotion, the grand schemes for Albert's life.

I have never seen proof that he was Leopold's son, but I know there has been speculation on this.
