Queen Louise-Marie in Historical Costumes

Louise-Marie of Orléans, first Queen of the Belgians, was famous for her piety and sobriety. Yet, she also had a lively side; she was a witty, keen observer and loved dancing and parties. During her reign, the balls of the court of Brussels were famous throughout Europe. Apparently, the Queen also enjoyed dressing up as historical characters. Here we see her as Joanna of Aragon, Elisabeth of Bourbon, Marie of Burgundy and Margaret of Austria.

Beautiful! There is a gorgeous one of her in a red costume I wanted to post also- but the upload for it somehow doesn't work.
